    Overview

Himroo sarees are meticulously handcrafted by skilled weavers in the region of Maharashtra. The name “Himroo” is derived from the Persian word “Hum-ruh”, which signifies a similarity to the Khinkwab woven saree with golden and silver threads exclusively for royal families.

The evolution of Himroo fabrics - featuring a cotton base and silk weaving, took shape during the 14th century under the rule of Mohammad Tughlaq. These sarees were once described as 'The finest fabric of the Deccan' by Marco Polo.

    Beauty of Himroo Sarees

Crafted with fine-textured, light, and soft fabric, these Handwoven Himroo sarees feature exquisite no-zari work designs. The intricate patterns and motifs on the saree are inspired by Mughal and Persian arts, incorporating traditional elements such as flowers, leaves, and geometric patterns. The fabrics are uniquely designed in bold colours and striking patterns, showcasing the opulence of the fabric and the intricacy of the designs.

Himroo silk & silk cotton sarees stand out as the preferred choice for significant occasions such as weddings, festivals, and other celebrations.
